So, weekend update, eh?

Friday: Well, at first I went to school (as always). I am determined to make it past midterms with out missing a day. After midterms, that's another story. What else? I found out Abby wasn't going to ISU and was disappointed. I got annoyed with Bucking because he feels the need to go over reference sources at the beginning of EVERY BLOODY CLASS. I got home and after some confusion, Alex and I left for ISU. We got there with out Alex killing us. Yaaa, Alex! It was sooooooooooo great to see Kate again. Forgive the surplus "o's," but I really missed her. We had pizza and watched wacky raccoon anime and laughed over the Sisterhood controversy. It was fun. Then we decided to go see Sweet Home Alabama at a theater in the middle of nowhere. And, boy, do I mean nowhere. We finally made it after getting lost (with me commenting on the axe murderer to population density ratio) and I must admit that I enjoyed the movie, even if it was a predictable, fairly cheesey romatic comedy.

Saturday: After waking up in Kate's roommate's bed (sorry abou that, Sam) we sat around watching cartoons. That was fun. After many false starts, we went to breakfast, talked and Kate did bad things to butter packets. Next, we saw Ain't Misbehavin'. Ahh, the Fats Walters-y goodness. Unfortunately, we left right after. In the process of leaving, I got myself a speeding ticket. Dammit. Traffic school for this one, now. We finally made it home around eight. I went to bed soon there after.

Sunday: Weeeee! I love apple picking. I went with a bunch of my family for my cousin Jill's birthday. It was nice to see the Helmers and the Fandls on a day that wasn't X-Mas. I was a bit disappointed that the Santors (Aunt Lily and Matt, anyway) and Aunt Laura and Uncle Tom couldn't come. It was fun, anyhow. And I got mondo apples so I can make many many pies. mmmm...pie!

Monday: Strictly speaking, it isn't part of the weekend, but, as this is my diary, you're subject to my narrative structure AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT MWAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Today started out bad. Euan (Geo Prof) gave us a 30 minute talking to about using proper citation, as, apparently, no one did it correctly. But, seeing as he never explained how to use stupid Harvard citation method, it's his own fault. If you're going to ask for an obscure referencing style that almost no one but goegraphers use, you should introduce it in class. In conclusion, Harvard is stupid. The funny thing about it is that Euan gets more Scottish when he's angry. I was craaby for awhile after that, but I started to feel better later. (Thanks to Diane and Abby.) Ancient Egypt also helped as it was Bad Pun Day. My two favorite were "Aye Aye, Ay!" and "Up and Aten!"

And that brings us up to the present: me checking my e-mail, my friends diaries, and avoiding my history homework. The 20th century, I'm realizing, is definately not my era. I'd much rather be doing Medieval Europe or the American Civil War.

In the interest of sustaining Sarah's good mood, here is the

Joke of the Day (courtesy Tom Stoppard and with appologies to Alex):

A Christian a Muslim and a Jew happened to meet in a closed carriage. "Silverstein!" cried the Jew, "Who's your friend?" "His name's Abdulah," replied the Muslim, "But he's no friend of mine since he became a convert." ba-dum-CHING!
