Sunday Morning Mail Call
2003-07-13 @ 9:52 a.m.

Sunday mornings are enjoyable. I've read Sir Apropos of Nothing for a bit, had a bowl of Puffy Wuffies, and checked my mail. According to SciFi Wire newsletter, next week's episode of Stargate is Daniel-centric. Which is great, but they're whummping him with severe psychological trauma. Again. He's been schizophrenic, addicted to the sarcophagus, evil, dead (a couple of times), memory wiped, and, now, afficted with multiple personalities. Poor guy. I guess it makes sense, though. That sort of plot line wouldn't work with any of the other characters: Sam isn't really the damsel in distress type, thankfully; O'Neil would just off himself two minutes into the show; and Tel'c - that would be absurd.

Oh, one of the other great things about Sunday mornings is the news shows. I'm currently watching George Stephenopolous's Parade of Talking Heads. He's got Rummy on talking about the whole WMD-State of the Union-exaggeration/lying thing. I'm a bit disturbed at the frequency with which he uses the "I dunnno" defense. He's the Secretary of Defense fercryinoutloud! He's on the National Security Council. He helps the President make major policy and tactical decisions. If anyone should know, it should be him. This does not inspire confidence in the government.

Alrighty, have a pleasant Sunday all. I'm going to read the Trib and do some homework.
