An Open Letter to Ralph Nader
2004-02-23 @ 1:10 p.m.

I just recieved a very lovely complement from Prof. D. She offered to write me a recomendation letter and work on strategies for grad school. That really really made my day, no week. Just had to share that with someone. And now on to the real purpose of my entry:

Dear Ralph Nader:

You are dumb and nobody likes you. To put it in less purile terms: Your bid for the presidency as a third party candidate is not only ill-timed, it is also counter-productive to the liberal agenda. The Green party will once again syphon off votes from the Democratic candidate, leading to another four years of Bushism. While I respect anyone's right to run for public office and am sympathic to the New Left, the priority should be to get Bush out of office before he can screw things up more. If you are committed to public service, you should have entered the Democratic primary or simply formed an issues campaign instead of satisfying your own ego with this obstreperous bid for the presidency. We have a two-party system and there is too much at stake in this election to challenge that. Now is not the time for this. I ask you, as a concerned liberal, please end this travesty now, you mook.

Warm regards,

Sarah Ebel
